The Armed Eye
Film Company is an independent film and theatre production
company established in Carlow in 1998 by Ger Carey (Bsc.
Hons, PG. Dip, H.N.D.). The key aim of the company is to produce
film, theatre and educational workshops independently. We are
self funded and happy to remain so. |

One of our most
successful departments is the Education Department. We take a
van filled with equipment and props to schools across Ireland
and spend the entire school day with the Transition Year
Students. This year we begin touring our new comedy show for
Transition Years.
Our new show, "Psycho
Spaghetti" is a comic journey inside the teenage mind and is
designed simply to make students laugh.

Last year we began
touring our one man show "Framed". Framed is a comedy
performance aimed at introducing fifth and sixth year students
to the study of film as part of their Leaving Certificate
English program. Our first tour played successfully in Galway,
Dublin, Birr and Monaghan. |

The Armed Eye
Film Company introduced it's film magazine for transition
year students two years ago and the two issue subscription has been
a modest success. The subscription per student is only
€4.99.

The Armed Eye
Film company has been producing independent films in Ireland since 1998.
We produced "59" staring Eamon Morrissey, "October 98" staring Jack
Lukeman and Gerry O'Brien, in addition to a number of educational films
and work with Victim Support on an anti-bullying film.
We are
currently in post-production with "October 98" and in
pre-production with our first full feature film "Framed: the Movie",
which will be followed by "Evolution" and, to complete the set,
"Flatland". This will take us up to 2010. We do not need any outside
investment, grant funding or, God forbid, advice.
Thanks
for reading about us.
